REVIEWED: e.l.f. Studio Tinted Moisturizer

Some time back, I purchased the e.l.f. Studio Tinted Moisturizer for $1.50 CDN (hooray for e.l.f. coupons!) in the shades Nude & Sand. And even more recently, I purchased a second bottle in Sand because I didn't want to run out unexpectedly! I find e.l.f products are either a hit or a miss. This tinted moisturizer definitely falls into the former category! In fact, I have recently decided to change my face makeup routine because of it! In the hope of finding more natural looking face makeup, I'm glad to have stumbled on this TM.

PROS
With loose powder atop, it has great staying power. From what I can tell, the moisturizer still looks pretty flawless after 6+ hours!

Unlike other tinted moisturizers, this one isn't greasy. Even with an SPF of 20, the product doesn't have a sticky/wet texture, which still surprises me.

Neither of the colours I have purchased leave you with a greyish or green look, which I find to be the case with many face products unfortunately!

Great packaging/tube!

CONS
There aren't very many colours to choose from- 7 in total. But, since the coverage isn't too deep you can get away with wearing a shade lighter or darker than your own. With a medium or full-coverage foundation, you certainly would not have the same liberty.

In my experience, you have to use quite a bit of product to get your face evenly covered! And, I have a pretty small face.

I have read other reviewers complain about the quantity of this product. It is admittedly only about 3/4 filled. However, when you consider the cost for this amount of product, I'd say you get a fair amount for what you pay! The company could probably make the containers smaller and save on materials. In terms of coverage, its not as light as other tinted moisturizers, but is still definitely light. Also, as a reference, my sister uses Nude and she wears NC25 and NC30, whereas I wear Sand, and am NC40.But, I find Nude looks GREAT on my skin too!

FINAL THOUGHTS
Anyone in search of a budget-friendly tinted moisturizer will be more than satisfied with this one. It has a better texture and isn't as greasy as some other ones on the market, that's for sure!
