REVIEWED: e.l.f. Studio Angled Eyeliner Brush

When e.l.f. first released its Studio Angled Eyeliner brush, I was quite excited to test it out with the cream eyeliners in my collection. I thought the shape of the brush was unique and that its angled design would make the eyelining process foolproof! At the time, I had misplaced my Sephora angled eyeliner brush (angled bristles) and was looking for an alternative. The price tag made this new brush very appealing! But little did I know...

Here are some pictures first,

PROS
★ Functions adequately as an eyeliner brush.
★ The price is right, I suppose.

CONS
★ The angled design makes eyeliner application difficult. The bristles are not long enough for you to glide it along your lash line and are quite flimsy. Chances are if you're applying your eyeliner too fast, you'll hit the tip of the plastic right below the bristles with your eye!
★ Poor construction. Not only are the bristles not long enough for proper application, but the handle itself is too long. It's about the height of a medium-sized book! And for anyone who doesn't have perfect vision, this lengthy brush will keep you even further away from the mirror, which is not good!

There isn't that much more to add to this review. The brush is made for cream or gel eyeliner application and it isn't a very good tool in this regard. This is reason enough to avoid wasting your precious $3 on this item. The e.l.f. Studio line brushes are all for the most part, really great brushes. And I was surprised that this one didn't measure up when compared to the others. I'm thankful to have found my misplaced Sephora eyeliner brush because I'm not sure I'd be able to put up with this e.l.f. one for very long.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Regardless of how much you invest into an item or product, it is never unreasonable to expect that at the very least it should fulfill its purpose to some degree. Having said this, you'd do well to avoid this brush on your next e.l.f. haul!
