MAC Warehouse Sale & Haul- December 2010

I had the privilege of attending the MAC Warehouse Sale this past weekend, with a good friend of mine. I feel very lucky to have attended the sale not once but twice this past year! I went to this trip a lot more prepared than I did the first one....but this meant I had larger expectations about what I wanted, and as a result, spent a bit more money than I had budgeted for. I figure since I'm not a big spender, the amount I overspent was still worth it! Or at least this is how I'm justifying the expense...

My friend and I headed over to Markham Fairgrounds on Friday, around 3 p.m- which proved to be the BEST time! Last year, when I had gone to the sale it was on a Sunday during the last two hours before the end of the sale- and it was A LOT busier then, believe it or not!

What you'll see in this haul post represents about half of the items I actually purchased at the sale. The other half includes items I purchased for my sister. I might do another post on those items in the near future. We shall see.

So in terms of prices--there have been some increases over the past year, but overall, they still remain quite low!
Face and cheek (blushes, loose powders, etc): $12 (March '10), $15 (Dec '10)
Lip glosses and lipsticks: $10
Eyeshadow palettes: $15
Nail polishes: $9
Eye products (eyeshadows, paint pots, etc): $9 (March '10), $12 (Dec '10)
Miscellaneous (Fix+, Cleansing oil, Eyelashes, EL mascara/lipglosses): $3 (March '10), $4 (Dec '10)
Charity Bags (4 randomly packaged items that you can purchase near the exit. It's cash-only and the proceeds go to charity): $5

At this sale, I was hoping to snag some pretty blushes and lip products. I have more than enough eye products to be thankful for, and was not interested in adding more to the collection. I am happy to say that I found some amazing products and can't wait to slowly discover them! I would have to say at this sale, compared to the one in March, the eyes and lip sections impressed me the most. Whereas at the March sale, I thought the face and cheek sections were the best.

Voila!

Clinique 3-Step kit, $10. The face wash and moisturizer in this kit are extraordinary. Clinique Redness Solution Instant Relief Mineral Powder, $15. I'm still experimenting with this product, but things don't look very promising...

Charity Bag: Impeccable Brow Pencil in Taupe, Dirty Blond & Blond. At first glance, these pencils seem hard and lacking pigmentation, but after further use, you will be quite impressed. It is, by far, the best eyebrow filler I have come across. The results are extremely natural. Flourishing (Matte Eyeshadow).

On our way out, after presenting our ticket to workers at the exit, we received our free gift: MAC Nail Laquer in Nocturnelle :-)
